FAQs
Below are the answers to some Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) on our Trigarda Active Holidays. If you have any other questions please get in touch with us by email – info@trigarda.com – and we will make sure you get an answer.
Can I travel on my own?
Yes. We welcome independent travellers on Trigarda Active Holidays and will do all we can to make sure you are well looked after during your time with us. Where possible and if desired, we will try to match you up with other similar independent travellers in order to save money by sharing a room together and allow you to get in touch with each other ahead of the trip. If you prefer to have your own room, this is also fine by us, but you may need to pay an extra supplement as the regular price is based on two people sharing a room.
Can I travel in a group?
Yes. Subject to availability of places, we welcome groups of all sizes to the Trigarda Active Holidays. Whether you are family, friends or even colleagues, we will do what we can to get you all together for the holiday and can even set up a separate trip as required. We offer generous discounts to groups of over 4 people, so be sure to contact us for the latest offers and discounts available.
What is the minimum age limit for this holiday?
The only age restriction is that our guests must be over 18. Most of our holidays are aimed at people who are aged between 25 and 45. However, some of our future holidays might be specifically themed and could therefore be aimed at other age categories.
How do I get to the Trigarda holiday?
You will need to book your own flights to get to Verona Airport in Italy, where we will pick you up by van and take you to the villa which is less than an hour from the airport. If you are travelling from London, there are loads of low cost airlines that fly direct to Verona, including British Airways, Ryanair, Easyjet and Monarch. To search the best available flight options, please go to the Skyscanner website here.
Do I need to bring my own bike?
Subject to airline guidelines we are more than happy for you to bring your own bike on the holidays and we can ensure it is safely transported from the airport to the villa. However, if this is not an option for you, we have a great range of high-spec road bikes you can rent from us, and we will have these ready and waiting for you on arrival. The cost of renting a road bike for 4 days is only £45 and this includes a helmet and bike lock. Please let the Trigarda team know your requirements when you come to make a booking.
What is included in the price?
Included in the Trigarda Active Holidays are the following:
- 3-nights accommodation at luxury villa
- guided cycle rides, runs and excursions
- healthy breakfast each morning
- airport transfer & bike collection
- pizza and wine on the first night
- local support and bike maintenance from the Trigarda team
What is not included?
Your transport and airfare to get to Verona Airport are not included in the Trigarda Active Holiday package. Neither are refreshments, lunches and dinners for each day, apart from the welcome meal and wine on the first day of course. As mentioned previously, there is a single supplement if you want a room to yourself, as the regular price is based on two people sharing. In addition, the cost of renting a bicycle and helmet is not included in the price, although you can bring your own if you prefer.
Who is your typical guest?
This holiday is aimed at people who enjoy cycling and being active whilst having a good time in the outdoors. Although there is no age limit, the holidays are aimed more at people between the ages of 25 and 45, who are willing to try out new adventures and socialise with others in the group.
What are the conditions for cancelling my ticket?
A non-refundable deposit of £100 is required when making the initial booking. You are then required to pay the remaining amount, in full, six-weeks prior to departure. After this point, you are unable to make a cancellation but, subject to your circumstances and at our discretion, you may be able to change your holiday to a later date.
How fit do I need to be?
The nature of the holidays means that you need to have some level of fitness, particularly for the longer cycle rides and runs. However, all of the activities are optional so if you are not feeling up to it you can always sit by the pool and take it easy.
What is the accommodation like?
The
villa was built less than three years ago so all of the accommodation and facilities are pretty much brand new. There are a number of different apartments to choose from within the complex, and each comes with bed linen and towels, kitchen facilities and satellite television. The grounds of the villa incorporate a stunning swimming pool and Jacuzzi, with gardens overlooking the Monte Brione mountain range and local vineyards. We are based only a short walk or ride to nearby towns of Arco and Torbole. Depending on how many people you are booking with, you may need to share an apartment. If you would prefer an apartment to yourself, this is also possible but there will be an extra charge to pay. The Trigarda team can advise you on this before you make the booking.
Do I need to get travel insurance?
Yes, you will need to get your own travel insurance before departure to cover the trip and make sure it covers the activities you will be participating in. If you need some help finding suitable insurance, please get in touch. Guests from the EU are also encouraged to bring a European Health Insurance Card, which would give you free cover if emergency assistance is required.
